PHOTO: LAST ONE FROM FORT SAN PEDRO - Thanks Gangsta Grasshoppa for the picture. No, I can’t model the way he does.
PHOTO: BARNEY AT FORT SAN PEDRO - We had awesome weather during that weekend - both sunny and windy. Baseball weather. :)
Here’s Barney, enjoying the lens-and-shutter attention outside the Cuerpo de Guardia. My questions about the Spanish occupation seem to have been embarrassing him enough. I had nothing left to do, but to whip out the camera to redeem myself.
Side Note: He helped a Japanese old woman that fainted on the walkway = tiene un corazon de oro.
PHOTO: CHRISTMAS LIGHTS - My favorite spot under lighted jellyfish hanging from a tree.
in honor of
her majesty - the sunrise.
her first glance
penetrates through the cold.
the hem of her robes
in a fancy pirouette
a dreamy swirl-
of blue, of purple, of gold
in her ascent so graceful
to her seat above the horizon,
the only trace being
a palm of sunshine upon your face.
The sunrise has always been awe-inspiring. Aside from its more relevant presence in the past two years, I would go to Tagaytay to sit on the back porch of Carlo’s Pizza for four hours, waiting for it - talking about everything and nothing at the same time.
Just saying.
Thank you for the creative and sweet emails! It’s the proverbial cherry on top of my busy week! I haven’t been sharing so much on this as I had originally planned, but you know how life sneaks up on all of us.
Thanks for letting me know that you’re missing the food-related things. I assure you that a lot of them are on the way. ;)
